A view across the glassy waters of Lake McDonald from the shore at Apgar Village in Glacier National Park — one of my favorites from my road trip from Pittsburgh to the Pacific Northwest. In this image, the towering rocky mountains and forested hillsides are perfectly mirrored in the crystal-clear waters of Lake McDonald. In the foreground, the iconic multicolored rocks on the shore slowly disappear into the water as they are overwhelmed by the reflection of the morning sky. In between, red boats float along the dock.
